Municípia – Empresa de Cartografia e Sistemas de Informação, SA, (Municípia), is committed to protecting the privacy of all holders of personal data processed in the scope of their professional activity, henceforth simply holding data, having, for this purpose, prepared this information.

 

In order to ensure its commitment to the privacy of data subjects, Municipia has adopted the best practices for security and protection of personal data, in accordance with the new General Data Protection Regulation.
It is extremely important that you read the following information regarding the processing of your personal data where the rules for sending communications are defined, as well as your rights.

1. PERSONAL DATA

Personal data corresponds to any information, regarding an identified or identifiable natural person, of any nature and regardless of the type of support.

An individual is considered identifiable who can be identified, directly or indirectly, namely by reference to an identifier (eg an identification number, location data, identifiers electronically or to one or more specific elements of physical, physiological identity, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social status of such a natural person).

Depending on the purpose of data collection identified above, the following personal information may be collected:
(i) name; (ii) date of birth; (iii) gender (iv) contacts (phone, email, address), (v) represented company.

3. PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

The collection and processing of personal data within the scope of the aforementioned activity is intended for (i) marketing, (ii) customer satisfaction surveys and (iii) sending information about the municipality’s products and services.
The completion of the forms corresponding to each of the purposes and / or the sending of personal data by the data subjects by any other means corresponds to the prior and express consent to the processing of the personal data transmitted.
If the data subject expressly permits the processing of his / her personal data in advance (consent which can be withdrawn at any time – see point 5 below), Municipia undertakes to ensure the processing of personal data to the extent and for the time necessary to pursue its purposes.
In view of the above, the Municipality clarifies that it does not solicit, or encourage, in any place or in any way, the remission and sending of personal data related to philosophical or political convictions, party or union affiliation, religious faith, private life and racial origin or ethnicity, as well as the processing of health and sexual life data, including genetic data.
Thus, and if sensitive personal data are transmitted to the Municipality, the Municipality cannot be held responsible for its treatment under the policy that has been described.
Without prejudice to other forms of contact with the Municipality, the non-transmission of personal data by the data holder prevents the Municipality from considering it for marketing purposes, customer satisfaction surveys and sending information about products and services.

4. CONSERVATION OF PERSONAL DATA

The period of time during which personal data is stored and preserved will vary in accordance with the purposes mentioned above.
In this sense, it is important to clarify that the personal data related to marketing activities, customer satisfaction surveys and sending information about products and services may be kept for the period necessary to fulfill the purpose, without prejudice to the right of the holder to request the elimination. your data at any time (as indicated in point 5 below).

5. RIGHT OF ACCESS, RECTIFICATION, DELETION, LIMITATION OF TREATMENT AND RIGHT TO PORTABILITY OF PERSONAL DATA

The data subject is guaranteed, at any time, the right of access to his / her personal data, as well as the respective rectification, elimination, portability, limitation and / or opposition to the treatment – in this sense, he / she can exercise any of these rights by addressing , in writing, to the Municipality through the address of the head office or through the following email privacy@municipia.pt.
In addition, the data subject will always be able to present any complaints he deems necessary to the competent authority for that purpose.

6. SECURITY IN THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data will be processed and stored by computer.
Municípia is committed to ensuring the security and protection of the personal data made available to it, having adopted the appropriate measures necessary for this purpose, namely:
(i) password protection, (ii) use of digital certifications, (iii) physical entry restrictions to places where personal data storage servers are located; (iv) firewalls, (v) secure communication via https protocol.
Municipia informs that these security measures are reviewed and updated according to the needs and requirements of these matters.
If, for any reason, there is a breach of security that causes, accidentally or unlawfully, the unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure or access to personal data, the Municipality undertakes, under the terms of the applicable legislation, to be communicated to the competent authorities, without justified delay and, whenever possible, up to 72 hours after having become aware of such occurrence.
In addition, and under the terms referred to in the immediately preceding paragraph, the Municipia undertakes to report the breach of personal data to the respective data subject, in accordance with the applicable legislation.

7. COMMUNICATION OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

Within the scope of its activity, the Municipality may use third parties to provide certain services (located inside or outside the European Union), which may, in some situations, imply access by such entities to the personal data of the holder of the services. Dice.
In such a scenario, the Municipality undertakes to carry out the necessary and appropriate measures, in order to ensure that the entities that have access to such personal data, are reputable and offer high guarantees at this level, which will be properly enshrined and safeguarded in contract to be entered into, in writing, between the Municipality and the third party (ies).
In fact, any entity subcontracted by the Municipality will treat the personal data of the data subject, on their behalf and on their behalf, in a commitment to adopt the necessary technical and organizational measures in order to protect personal data against destruction, accidental or unlawful, to accidental loss, alteration, dissemination or unauthorized access and against any other form of unlawful treatment.
In any case, the Municipality remains responsible for the processing of personal data.
Whenever necessary, and in connection with the hiring of third parties by the Municipality, personal data may be transferred outside the European Union, under the terms and conditions permitted by applicable law.

8. RIGHT TO FORGET

The holder of personal data has the right to obtain, from the person responsible for its processing, the elimination of his personal data, which, in turn, will have the obligation to eliminate them, whenever one of the following reasons applies: (i) data are no longer needed for the purpose for which they were collected or processed; (ii) the holder withdraws consent, when consent is the legal basis or the holder opposes treatment and there are no prevailing legitimate interests that justify its maintenance.

9. CHANGES

The Municipia reserves the right, at any time, to make readjustments or changes to this policy, being certain that such changes will be duly communicated to the data subject.
